Cost to Build

Ever wonder what it costs to custom build in Colorado? Here are a few guidelines we’ve found helpful to think through as you consider options.

Custom Building Homes in Colorado Since 2014

Many factors influence the price of your custom home in our beautiful Colorado mountains. From the cost of the land to the size of your improvements (and their placement on the plot) to the level of interior and exterior finish, early-stage custom build pricing is largely based upon your desired plan’s square footage.

Our #1 goal at Rustic Mountain Builders is to guide you through the entire process of building your dream vacation home step-by-step. We’re well-versed at helping you with land development, utility hook-up, land prep, in addition to construction.

Land Development

Selecting just the right plot for your custom vacation home is a great first step. But, the question remains, how do you take that lot (each with its own quirks and considerations) and prepare it for supporting your new build?

Since 2014, we’ve been a part of some of the nicest projects in the area. We’re excited to help you get started!

Water, waste water, gas, and power are all factors to consider when selecting a site to build. Access to utilities can make or break a budget. Let us help you from the start.

Excavation & Foundation

Once the site is prepped for construction, it’s time to begin. This is the fun part! We love setting the stage for a beautiful home by starting with the ground. A strong foundation is critical to a successful build, let us help you get things kicked off right.

Once construction is ready to begin, the project starts to come to life. Once walls are up and exterior cladding like roof and siding are installed, the vision is nearly complete.

We’ve helped build many custom home projects in the area, we’d love a chance to show you a few in order to help make your vision a reality.
